Toronto Wedding Photographer - Chris Bodnar Photo

From the moment Chris Bodnar played with his first camera as a child - a manual exposure Canon AE-1 film camera owned by his stepfather - he knew that he wanted to be a photographer.

Chris' passion for photography eventually led him to work in a professional photo lab which catered to internationally recognized photographers of all genres and backgrounds. This inspired him to pursue a photographic career of his own. He gained priceless knowledge and expertise from working with portrait, commercial, editorial, interior, and wedding photographers from around Toronto and beyond. This broad working experience allowed Chris to apply these skills on what he enjoyed photographing most - both portraits and documentary photography. He learned quickly that the best of both these worlds existed in wedding photography.

Some people ask how any of these experiences apply to wedding photography. The extreme detail and precision required in professional lab work mixed with the high demand for quality photography and customer service of both photographers and commercial clients ensure that your wedding is approached with extreme and unique care, detail, and quality. Along with Chris' passion and work in documentary and portrait photography, he applies all of his photographic experiences to his wedding work, ensuring that your wedding day is documented in a unique and discreet manner. It's his job to blend into his surroundings and capture not only what people see - the brides long walk down the aisle, the first kiss as husband and wife, the first dance - but to also capture what people don't see - a brides reaction when she first sees herself in her dress, a nervous groom receiving a pep talk from his best man, tearful fathers, cheerful mothers, and reactions and moments from everyone in attendance that have travelled both near and far to spend your big day with you.

In short, Chris' approach to documentary wedding photography allows the detailed, artistic, and discreet side of his work to project a side of your day that only he can capture.
